What You'll Need

  • You must have indicated on your order confirmation that you'd like to book an online session.
  • A medium-to-strong internet connection, with upload and download speeds of at least 1Mbps. You can test your internet speed here.
  • The Zoom application, downloaded in advance.
  • A laptop or PC (mobile phones and tablets don't work well for this).
  • Google Chrome installed, if you're not already using it (works on both Windows and macOS) — download it here.

Tips to Enhance Your Online Therapy Experience

  • Please close all other running applications before your session.
  • Make sure your Windows or macOS operating system is updated to its latest version.
  • Set Google Chrome as your default browser. Chrome's audio codec is more advanced than other browsers, which makes for a smoother session.
  • If Chrome is already your default browser, make sure it's updated to the latest version. Here's how to check.
  • Clear Chrome's cache before your session. Instructions here.
  • If you have earphones or headphones (without a built-in microphone), keep them nearby in case you need them.

What time zone does Dr. Roets consult in?

Dr. Roets' practice operates in the South Africa time zone (GMT +02:00). If you're booking from abroad, please convert the time to find your corresponding local slot before booking.

Please note: Dr. Roets works closely and personally with her clients, and occasionally a session may run a little late or over time. We ask that you allow a 15-minute window when waiting for your online session to start. Every effort is made to stay on schedule, but on rare occasions — such as an emergency — this isn't always possible. If Dr. Roets is running more than 15 minutes late, our office administrator will email you to let you know.

Can I cancel an online consultation booking?
